Gifts of Grain

Planting Seeds for the Next Generation
The Minnesota FFA Foundation Gift of Grain program gives farmers and agricultural producers an opportunity to support Minnesota FFA by donating grain or other commodity crops directly to the Foundation.
Instead of selling the grain and then donating the proceeds, a donor can designate grain as a charitable gift to the Minnesota FFA Foundation. The donated grain is transferred through the donor's preferred local elevator or cooperative, and the Foundation assumes responsibility for storage, transportation, marketing, and risk of loss after the gift is transferred.
Donors can direct their gift towards:
Youth Leadership
Scholarships
Teacher Prepration
State Convention
Other Special Projects
How to Gift your Grain:
Gifting grain to the Minnesota FFA Foundation is simple:
1. Let us know.
Contact the Minnesota FFA Foundation to let us know about your intended gift of grain.
2. Deliver your grain.
Deliver the grain to your preferred local elevator or cooperative.
3. Complete the Gift of Grain form.
Use the Minnesota FFA Foundation's Gift of Grain Donation Form to provide the information needed to transfer the grain to the Foundation.
4. Transfer the gift.
At delivery, the elevator will transfer ownership of the donated grain to the Minnesota FFA Foundation.
5. Provide documentation.
Ask the elevator for a warehouse receipt showing the Minnesota FFA Foundation as the owner of the grain. After the commodity is sold, the completed donation form and warehouse receipt should be sent to the Foundation.
6. Receive your acknowledgment.
Once the gift has been processed, the Minnesota FFA Foundation will provide an acknowledgment letter to the donor to substantiate the gift.
